Effective September 5, 2026
These Terms govern your use of eventplannerdavie.com and the event planning services provided by Event Planner Davie (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By using this site or engaging our services, you agree to these Terms.
Our Services
We provide event planning and coordination services including weddings, wedding day coordination, corporate events, luxury events, private parties, quinceañeras, and showers. Services may include design, vendor coordination, timeline management, staffing, on-site production, and the supply of décor, lighting, and event equipment we own.
The specific services for your event are defined in your signed service agreement, not on this website. Where this website and your signed agreement differ, the signed agreement controls.
Quotes and Proposals
Information on this site is general and does not constitute a quote or an offer. Pricing depends on date, guest count, venue, scope, and staffing requirements. A quote becomes binding only when set out in a written service agreement signed by both parties.
Quotes are valid for the period stated on them. Dates are not held or reserved by a quote.
Booking and Retainer
A signed agreement and a retainer payment are both required to reserve your date. Until we receive both, your date remains available to other clients.
The retainer secures our availability for your date and compensates us for declining other bookings for that date, for the planning work that begins immediately on booking, and for the administrative cost of holding the reservation.
The retainer is non-refundable. This applies regardless of whether the event proceeds, is cancelled, or is postponed, and regardless of the reason. Because we turn away other work once your date is reserved, that date cannot be recovered.
The retainer is applied against your total balance. It is not an additional fee.
Payment
Payment schedules and final balance due dates are set out in your service agreement. Final balances are typically due before the event date. We are not obligated to perform services where payment is outstanding.
Third-party costs — venue fees, catering, rentals sourced outside our inventory, permits — are your responsibility unless your agreement expressly states we are covering them.
Cancellation and Postponement
Cancellation by you. Cancellations must be in writing. The retainer is not refunded. Payments made beyond the retainer may be refundable in part depending on how close to the event date you cancel and what costs we have already incurred or committed on your behalf. Third-party costs already paid to venues or vendors are not refundable by us and are subject to those parties’ own terms.
Postponement. Where you postpone rather than cancel, we will make reasonable efforts to transfer your retainer to a new date, subject to our availability. Where the new date is unavailable to us, the postponement is treated as a cancellation. Rates applicable to the new date may differ.
Cancellation by us. If we cancel for reasons within our control, we will refund amounts paid to us and, where possible, help you find a replacement planner.
Weather and Events Outside Our Control
South Florida events carry weather risk. Neither party is liable for failure to perform due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, including hurricanes, tropical storms, flooding, evacuation orders, power failure, venue closure, government restrictions, public health orders, or other force majeure events.
Where such an event prevents your event from proceeding, we will work with you to reschedule and will apply amounts paid to us toward the new date, subject to our availability. Amounts already paid to venues and vendors are governed by their contracts, not ours.
You are responsible for a rain plan. We will advise on one. Where you decline a rain plan for an outdoor event, we are not responsible for the outcome.
Your Responsibilities
You agree to provide accurate information about guest counts, timing, and venue requirements; secure the venue and any permits or licenses required; ensure we have access to the venue for setup, the event, and load-out; obtain any approvals required by an HOA, club, or property owner; and make decisions and approvals within the timeframes we identify.
Delays or additional costs caused by inaccurate information, late decisions, or denied access are not our responsibility.
Third-Party Vendors
We coordinate with venues, caterers, florists, photographers, entertainers, and other vendors. Unless a vendor is our employee or the item is supplied from our own inventory, that vendor contracts with you directly and is responsible for their own performance.
We are not liable for the acts, omissions, delays, or non-performance of third-party vendors. Where we recommend a vendor, that recommendation is not a guarantee of their performance.
Our Equipment and Inventory
Décor, lighting, and event equipment supplied from our inventory remain our property at all times. You are responsible for loss or damage to our property occurring during your event beyond normal wear, other than damage caused by us.
Photography and Media
We may photograph events we produce and use those images to show our work on this website, in proposals, and on social media. Images will not identify guests by name. If you do not want your event photographed or used, tell us in writing before the event date and we will not use it.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Florida law, our total liability arising from our services is limited to the amount you paid us for those services. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits or lost opportunity.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Website Content
The content on this site — text, images, and layout — is our property or used with permission and may not be copied, reproduced, or republished without written consent.
Information on this site is provided for general purposes. We make no warranty that it is complete, current, or error-free. Venue details, drive times, and operational information reflect our experience and may change.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Any dispute arising from these Terms or our services will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Broward County, Florida, and both parties consent to that jurisdiction.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms. The effective date above will change when we do. The Terms in effect when you signed your service agreement govern that agreement.
